Selectmen discussed Lines 1–14 and 1–25, relating to transit reimbursements and Council on Aging services, and recommended the town present those lines favorably at town meeting.
Members said a contract tied to the Regional Transit Authority (GATRA) resulted in accumulated reimbursable funds that had been overlooked in prior budgets; the amount in question was described in the meeting as approximately $114,000–$117,000 accumulated and a contract of about $98,000 a year. The board agreed to use reimbursements to restack the accounts so driver wages and admin costs are restored to the appropriate lines.
"It's 98 approximately $98,000 a year," a member said when describing the contract that supports van drivers and related reimbursements.
Bill was assigned to speak to these lines on the floor. The board emphasized the funds are associated with an existing contract and that reimbursements will continue while the contract remains in force.
