Board confirms 2025–26 meeting schedule, hears positive budget report and notes state funding change to Imagination Library

The board agreed to hold regular meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m., kept the August 20, 2025 meeting at 6:00 p.m., and scheduled a Board/Superintendent workshop for September 23 at 6:00 p.m. to develop a working agreement and board goals.
Chair Donald Collins gave a budget status report: the budgeted ending General Fund balance had been $262,578 while the actual ending fund balance was $358,951.06. Lisa Young expressed disappointment that Washington State discontinued funding for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library but said she was encouraged that OSPI will allocate funds to ensure the program continues. Lisa also highlighted monitoring possible state guidance allowing districts to purchase vans with transportation funds.
