Council approves final willing-seller parcel purchase for Skyline Drive Phase 2

City staff told the council the parcel at 540 W 4300 N is the final active willing seller in Phase 2 of the Skyline Drive project and recommended finalizing acquisition to keep the project moving. Tyson Jackson said the seller accepted a final offer of $51,200; the city will also cover certain lien-related costs estimated around $2,500, consistent with previous acquisitions in the project.
Jackson said the purchase is being funded with WACOG-related funds as part of the project’s established acquisition strategy. CM David Marriott moved to approve the acquisition; CM Sara Urry seconded. The council approved the purchase by roll-call vote 5-0.
