Board approves 7.5% certificated raise and 5% classified increase for 2025–26

Superintendent Milt Dennison recommended the board approve an additional 5% increase on top of the state’s 2.5% allocation for certificated staff, which he described as a total 7.5% increase for 2025–26. "Milt recommended that the board approve another 5% increase in addition to the 2.5% provided by the state for a total of a 7.5% increase," the record states. Cynthia Dominik Medlin moved to adopt the certificated salary placements as shown in the handout; Jeremy Silver seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board separately approved a 5% increase for classified staff with a single position adjustment noted on the exhibit. Lisa Young moved to increase classified salaries by 5% as shown on exhibit 1 column 3; Cynthia seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Board members noted the district will start the year with two bus drivers and that two new intermediate teachers will join the staff for 2025–26.
