Presenter Chuck Hole reported a projected ending fund balance of $446,750 — about 21.48% of projected expenditures — and said the district expects to receive $22,916 in Federal Forest revenue in May. The ASB fund reactivation figures were presented: beginning balance $2,420, $1,020 in fundraising/interest revenue, $3,440 in expenditures, ending at zero prior to the requested appropriation.
Hole also summarized legislative and funding changes: a one-time $50 per AAFTE payment totaling $5,076, an $81 per-student increase in MSOC funding, possible special-education funding reductions tied to the funding formula, and the treatment of Federal Forest revenue as deductible beginning 2025–26. He warned that property and liability insurance rates are expected to rise by 28%, partially offset by Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment rebates.
