Council tables parks appropriation transfer while staff reviews DLGF guidance

Town attorney/manager Michael Griffin told the council that while the park superintendent's need was acknowledged, the guidance from the state requires certain transactions between departmentalized units to be processed as additional appropriations by reduction rather than a simple transfer. "We're not sure we can execute it, however, in this form," he said, recommending delay so staff can prepare the correct document. The council voted to table Resolution 26-40 to reconvene on the matter in August.
