The Tinmouth Select Board voted to adopt a revised town plan at a meeting called to order Oct. 28. A committee member moved, "I'll make a motion that we adopt the revised town plan," the motion was seconded, and two audible 'aye' votes followed; the board accepted the revised document.
The Planning Commission member who presented the draft said the plan is "the culmination of us starting in 2022" and urged the board to forward it to the regional commission for approval so implementation can proceed. Board members then discussed timing for the legally required public hearing, with staff advising that a hearing cannot be held before a 30-day notice period and the board considering dates in the week of Dec. 1; the town's regular December meeting is on Dec. 11.
Members noted several elements—such as an enhanced energy plan, scenic-resource protections and a historic-building index—would be revisited and could be amended after the plan is adopted. The meeting record does not include a roll-call showing each member's vote; the audio shows the motion, a second, and two audible affirmative votes.
