Chair urged tightening local practice after the Valentine Farm matter, saying the commission should "not approve anything until the surveys are completed" and suggesting preliminary hearings remain possible but final approvals require a finished survey or mylar. A motion to that effect was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
Members discussed operational steps: the planning office will update the application checklist and acceptance process to ensure the survey requirement is clear, and the commission advised staff to refuse to treat an application as complete until required survey materials are submitted.
