The Tinmouth Planning Commission voted on Oct. 23 to forward the updated draft town plan to the Select Board for its public hearing and acceptance, with the intent that unfinished supplements (notably an enhanced energy chapter) be completed and incorporated later.
Chair described the multi-year effort and use of the Rutland Regional Planning Commission for census and mapping updates, saying the commission had "reviewed this page by page" and planned to send the draft onward. Chair cautioned some datasets are provisional: "Take it with a grain of salt because the numbers are probably correct, but we're not gonna run through and, you know, do the data."
Commissioners noted the formal adoption process: the Select Board must hold a hearing and accept the plan, then the regional commission certifies the planning process. A motion to present the plan to the Select Board was moved and seconded; commissioners approved the motion by voice vote and instructed staff to schedule the next steps.
