The Weybridge Select Board voted April 7 to adopt an annual equipment-sharing policy intended to formalize how the town lends equipment to neighboring communities and how administrative fees are handled for FEMA-related responses. The motion to adopt the policy as presented passed by voice vote.
The policy clarifies that when Weybridge shares equipment with another town the town may charge administrative fees and establishes rates to be included in FEMA claims. Chair said the policy was primarily to document existing practice and asked for a motion to adopt it. "So this is basically when we, share equipment with another town," the Chair said while introducing the item. A member moved to adopt the policy and the board approved the motion unanimously. The board did not set any additional changes at the meeting and recorded that the policy must be adopted annually going forward.
