Jackson County approves Wellmark and VSP renewals for employee coverage
Summary

Human Resources Administrator Becki Chapin presented recommendations to renew the county’s employee medical and vision plans. The board approved renewal of medical coverage with Wellmark through the Iowa Community Insurance Trust (ICIT) Option 12 effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, and approved vision coverage through Vision Service Plan (VSP) effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028.
Supervisor Mike Steines moved and Supervisor Nin Flagel seconded both motions. The board authorized Chapin to sign all renewal and compliance paperwork as presented; votes on both motions were recorded as aye by Supervisors Schwenker, Steines and Flagel.
