Selectboard approves town share for school EV charger subscription

Presenter (Speaker 4) told the board the total charger project cost was $23,715.49 and that GMP provided the charging hardware free, leaving the town’s share limited to the subscription. "Believe it or not, that charger cost in total $23,715.49," the presenter said, adding that "the $3,714.80 is for a subscription" to operate the charger for three years.
Board members asked how access and rate-setting would work; the presenter said ChargePoint accounts can identify users and that the school facilities manager will integrate the station with existing chargers. A motion to withdraw the funds from the energy fund passed by voice vote after a board member moved the request and the chair called for the ayes.
The board agreed to revisit subscription funding after three years to determine whether the town would renew the payment or place the charge on the school district or another account.
