The Brooks County Commissioners Court on May 8 accepted the Treasurer's monthly report and heard department updates from Assistant Auditor Angela Perez and Chief Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector Terri A. Silvas before approving a series of budget transfers.
The court approved transfers including $10,000 from equipment rental and $5,000 from part-time wages into road repair maintenance and supplies, $5,000 from vehicle repairs into capital outlay, and multiple smaller reallocations for landfill miscellaneous expenses. It also approved a $27,000 transfer from professional legal fees to professional accounting and auditing fees and a $12,000 reallocation within jail staffing lines. Most motions passed by unanimous roll call votes.
