Representatives providing the Friends of the Library update said the recent annual book sale raised $7,525.66, the highest total the group has reported at that event. "We made $7,525.66. That is the most we have ever made at the annual book sale," staff said during the board update.
The Friends also reviewed recent and upcoming events: a dine-and-donate with results pending from Coco Shrimp, an indoor mini-golf family event on Aug. 8 (sponsored holes covering most costs, $5 per person or $20 per household), and plans to bring back Murder Mystery Night in February in partnership with WAG, the local acting group. Staff and Friends credited volunteers and local sponsorships with helping event success.
