Selectboard hears highway report; crack sealing planned, turbine pulled for repair

The Weybridge Selectboard received an update from the highway crew on routine maintenance and upcoming repairs. Crew members reported that they finished installing a roller on the grader, have completed cutting and trimming on town roads, and are using the sweeper and mower as weather permits.
The board recorded that crews will begin crack sealing to prolong pavement life. Selectboard member Matt Broughton said pavement is coming up at the Quaker Village Road and Weybridge Road intersection and he will ask the paving company to consider a touch‑up. The minutes note a turbine is being pulled from the dam on Quaker Village Road for repair; it will be shipped to Canada and reinstalled in November.
A request from the principal at Weybridge Elementary to have the school parking lot paved this year was discussed; Matt said that is probably not possible this year.
