MHSA staff announced at the March 26 meeting that the Behavioral Health Services Integrated Plan has been posted on the county website for a 30‑day public review and comment period, and staff encouraged community members to submit comment cards or contact MHSA directly. "The posting of the Behavioral Health Services Integrated Plan for public review and comment for 30 days," the announcement said, and staff indicated a flyer would be distributed later the same day.
Committee discussion focused on barriers to care—language, stigma and lack of culturally appropriate services—and on current outreach efforts to address those gaps. Members highlighted use of Community Health Workers building trust, services in community settings, multilingual resources and culturally specific programs. Katalina described success training Promotoras on LGBTQ 101 and STI/HIV prevention, and attendees discussed continuing outreach to populations not accessing services.
