Supervisors authorize health and vision insurance renewals effective July 2026

The Jackson County Board of Supervisors approved health and vision insurance renewals during its May 5 meeting.
Becky Chapin, human resources, told the board, “We received our health insurance renewal through the Iowa Community Trust, and we will be renewing our Wellmark health insurance plan, which is option 12 through the trust, effective 07/01/2026.” She also presented a vision plan renewal through VSP for a two‑year term (07/01/2026–06/30/2028) with a 0% increase and minor plan enhancements at no additional cost. The board voted to authorize Chapin to sign renewal documents and compliance paperwork on behalf of the county.
Supervisors noted appreciation for the limited increase on the health plan and the zero‑percent change for vision coverage.
