Commission approves Notice of Intent to exceed revenue neutral rate; hearing set for Aug. 25

Commissioners voted to approve the Notice of Intent to exceed the revenue neutral rate (RNR) and authorized publication of the RNR/Budget notice of hearing for the county and for fire and sewer districts, with the hearing scheduled for August 25 at 6 p.m.
Adkison referenced Kansas statutes K.S.A. 79-2925 and 79-2988 in describing the budget laws guiding the process. Administrator Johnson indicated staff could run an online survey to solicit more constituent input if the Board provides questions.
