The Board of Civil Authority nominated Elaine Owen as chair at its Feb. 25, 2025, meeting in Williamstown. Will Knight Jr. moved to nominate Elaine Owen, and Sherry Chase seconded; with no other nominations the motion passed by voice vote.
Barbara Graham said Elaine Owen was unable to attend but had expressed interest in remaining the chairperson. The board then elected Heather King as vice-chair after Phil Winters moved and Will Knight Jr. seconded the nomination; Heather King assumed the chair duties for the remainder of the session.
