Clerk says Asotin Days went well; reports fiber installation, publication problem and upcoming budget work

Clerk-Treasurer Tina Davidson updated the council on administrative and community items at the Aug. 11 meeting. "Asotin Days, Good weekend, need to work on Saturday activities to get more people to participate," she said, and added that she had confirmed with Kerrie Sandanie that future agendas will be monitored for publication after several were not appearing in the paper.
Davidson also reported that TDS is installing fiber in the area and the city processed about 40 'call to dig' tickets that day. She noted the Health District has completely moved out, she will be on vacation Aug. 18–22, budget preparation begins next month, and a jail tour for city staff is scheduled Friday at 11 a.m. The minutes also note a resident, Charlotte Tuttle, fell at the post office, broke her hip, had surgery and is now at Cascadia Care in Clarkston.
