Council voted to accept the low bid of $3,250 to demolish the porch and accessories at 206 N 3rd Street; Laube’s competing bid was $3,500. The motion passed unanimously (Fesenmeyer/Uhlenhopp).
Separately, council discussed city ordinances and chose not to change them now; the city clerk was instructed to contact Simmering-Cory to begin the codification process. Mayor Galen Lindell also updated the council on assembling a committee to explore starting a daycare facility; the committee was scheduled to meet Wednesday at 9 a.m.
