On Aug. 11 the Asotin City Council approved First Reading of Ordinance 2025-900, which proposes amendments to Ord. 2021-865 Chapter 8.22.030 concerning the sale, purchase and discharge of consumer fireworks — specifically days and hours permitted. The motion for the first reading was made by Councilmember David Weakland and seconded by Councilmember Craig Stein; the council approved the first reading on a 5–0 vote.
