Council updates: pickleball rings planned, library talks continue and EV chargers delayed

The mayor said the council is still defining what TRL (Timberland Regional Library) would need to return to any renovated building and what size space a new building would require. The mayor said those parameters and cost estimates remain unresolved and staff are working to pin down answers.
On EV charging infrastructure, councilors were told the project's vendor is months behind obtaining key components. “They’re still waiting for parts…they expected 8 or 9 months to get some major components,” the mayor said, adding the project is still expected to happen but is delayed.
Councilors asked staff to continue follow-up with TRL to determine the library's space requirements and to continue monitoring delivery timing for charging-station components. No formal votes or funding decisions were recorded at the meeting for these items.
