Police report possible cougar attack; coyote sightings in city limits

Police Chief Stigall reported to the council that officers are monitoring a possible cougar attack on livestock within city limits and have issued a press release about the incident. He said the department has contacted the local school district and reported the matter to Fish & Wildlife.
Chief Stigall also reported separate sightings and an incident in which a coyote reportedly attacked a dog within city limits; that matter has likewise been reported to Fish & Wildlife and is under department monitoring.
