Abilene council certifies June 13 result; Benjamin Bailey sworn in to Place 4

Atkinson then presented a certificate of election and administered the oath. Benjamin Bailey repeated the oath: "I, Benjamin Bailey... I will faithfully execute the duties," and was sworn in as the representative for City Council Place 4 for the state of Texas. The presiding officer noted that there were no public comments on the canvass item before the vote.
The council took no further formal actions on the item beyond certification and swearing in; the meeting adjourned shortly afterward.
