Three members of the public addressed the council on Aug. 20. Mary Kovach (913 3rd Ave NW) asked the city to take care of the flag on Main Street and said she is "willing to do repairs." Jennifer Killian (34 Ash St) expressed concern about a sewer line running along an alleyway and asked the council to review the issue. Robert Hendrickson of Tacoma attended to congratulate the new chief.
City staff heard the comments during the public-comment period; the public-works and code-enforcement reports later in the meeting indicated staff are tracking infrastructure issues after a recent storm and will be inspecting hydrants and nuisance locations. The minutes do not record a formal council directive in response to the two comments.
