Councilmember Bryson moved and Councilmember Woodhouse seconded "motion to accept the Daisy Street (SR17) Sidewalk and Daisy Street Pedestrian Crossing Improvements Project as complete. Motion carried unanimously." The council approved two earlier change orders and a final progress payment to the contractor as part of closing out the project.
The council approved Change Order 1 for Ascent Foundations in the amount of $4,831.16 and Change Order 2 in the amount of $3,500.00. The final progress estimate approved to Ascent Foundation and More, LLC was $285,938.56. The motions to approve each change order and the final estimate passed unanimously.
The approvals complete a multi-step construction sequence recorded on the agenda under New Business. Councilmembers who recorded votes in favor at roll call were Arnold, Bryson, Carlson, Carson, Gorman, Taylor and Woodhouse. No dissenting votes were recorded.
City staff did not provide additional public funding detail for this project during the meeting; the agenda materials identify Ascent Foundation and More, LLC as the contractor and list the project as "Daisy Street (SR17) Sidewalk Phase 1 & Daisy Street Pedestrian Crossing Improvements."
