Council approved the Montoursville Community Yard Sales schedule for May 29–31, 2026 with a Friday 9 a.m. start, multiple recreation event permits and the borough's 2026 brush/recycling opening dates. Council President Dr. Tina Kline presented the yard-sale item; Chief Gyurina said it "will take a few years for people to get the hang of the 9am start on Friday May 29th and parking correctly because the police will be out patrolling for the safety of everyone."
Council also approved a PennDOT-required approval letter for a 9-11 Memorial Ride (submitted on behalf of Representative Joe Hamm) and event permits 2026-01 through 2026-05. Council noted the borough will patrol during the sale and that brush/recycling open dates are subject to available funds.
