Chair (S1) moved to sell the keyloader to Midwest Mobile and apply the dollar amount as a maintenance credit for the sheriff’s office; the motion was seconded and adopted by voice vote. “So I'll go back to Midwest Mobile and… I'll make a motion then that that that we, sell our keycoder back to Midwest Mobile, and that will have a credit to be used for the sheriff's office for radio maintenance,” S1 said during the motion.
County officials recorded an agreement to treat the returned funds as a maintenance credit applied on a monthly basis until the credit is exhausted. Commissioners said the arrangement would avoid stranded equipment costs while ensuring ongoing maintenance for the county dispatch and radio system.
