Marie Karpel, communications and marketing director, presented the city's migration to a City of Abilene branded SeeClickFix app and a short‑term evaluation plan.
Karpel said the implementation carried a one‑time cost of roughly $6,000 and an annual renewal rate of $6,500. On metrics, she reported "Overall, our average number of days until report is closed is 0.9," and that the city had about "1,300 downloads" on Apple iOS with a single day spike of about 1,000 downloads that is still under review. She noted a 93% rate of reports closed within the city’s service‑level agreement and 365 reports in 2026 with an average of 19.2 hours to close for that set.
Karpel said the app integrates with the city’s work‑order system and allows staff to track issue types and closure rates more precisely; she asked council for feedback as staff evaluates the first three months of usage and sets targets for broader adoption.
