Commissioner Hombach presented a reformatted package of proposed amendments to the town’s comprehensive plan intended to make the amendment list clearer and easier for the commission to review. Hombach said he replaced a 'TBD' table with entries tied to the 2030 plan and proposed the commission work through amendments in bite-sized sections.
"The 5 year... it went through a lot of work from the previous planning commission and they developed proposed potential amendments to the 5 year plan," Hombach said, summarizing the background and his intent to repackage the proposals for clarity. He asked the commission to take ownership of assignments and to vote on proposed amendments item by item.
Commissioners volunteered to draft a high-level schedule and a short demonstration amendment to present at the next meeting; one commissioner said he and "Ryan" would kick off the effort. The chair requested a concise, high-level timeline that could be shared with the Town Council in advance of its Feb. 11 meeting to facilitate Council guidance on the scope and timing of the review.
