Tim Littlejohn, director of planning and development services, presented zoning case 2026‑29 at council: a request to rezone about 0.5 acre at 1801 Lincoln Drive from residential medium density to College University uses to support adjacent student housing and parking.
"For consideration is zoning case 2026Dash29... change in zoning of approximately 0.5 an acre from residential medium density to College University located at 1801 Lincoln Drive," Littlejohn said, noting notifications produced one in favor and none opposed and that Planning and Zoning recommended approval. Council asked a clarifying question about abandoning the alley to the north; staff said no alley abandonment was under consideration and that the primary use would be parking for student housing.
Council moved and approved the rezoning on the motion and second recorded in the public meeting.
