Council approves additional rezones, appointments and adjourns after executive session

After returning from an executive session, the council considered appointments and additional zoning cases. Tim Littlejohn presented Z2026-25 (rezoning 1.21 acres from RS-12 to General Commercial for an owner named Caitlin Shaw), and staff reported no returned notifications; Planning & Zoning recommended approval and the council voted to adopt the rezoning.
The council also approved zoning case Z2026-27 (Ambler Avenue properties) after staff noted two in-favor notifications and none opposed. The council then approved appointments to multiple boards (including Helen Nucera to the Mayor’s advisory board for people with disabilities and Ricardo Gutierrez to the Neighborhood Services Advisory Board) and adjourned the meeting at 10:12 a.m.
