Abilene Zoo reports multiple births, hand-rearing efforts and euthanasia of an animal named Keto

Potbaum also announced the euthanasia of an animal named Keto after prolonged treatment and therapeutic interventions. "Unfortunately, the scoring of his body came down pretty low, so we had to make a difficult decision," Potbaum said, describing months of care including chiropractic and planned acupuncture interventions and specialized blankets. Potbaum previewed upcoming family events at the zoo including a Dino Ranch visit and extended "Roarin' Mornings" summer hours to open the zoo earlier in the day during hot weather.
