Samantha Hansen represented Fore the Cure and requested liability coverage for a 5K walk/run scheduled Sept. 21, 2024, to coincide with Jefferson Beer Supply’s Oktoberfest. Jensen Insurance advised the Finance Officer that the certificate of liability insurance for Union County would cost approximately $100. Councilmember M. Stokely moved to provide the certificate; J. Lokhorst seconded and the motion carried.
Separately, Nicki Werner asked to place the Jefferson Beer Supply event tent for the Farmers Market on Aug. 10 and again for Oktoberfest on Sept. 21; the council approved that placement by motion. The minutes record that the ambulance crew and other event logistics have been lined up and that Fore the Cure has worked with the Sue Lulf family on event details.
