At its Aug. 12 meeting the Medford Economic Development Authority received multiple economic updates.
EDA staff reported that the ODOT Transportation Alternatives sidewalk grant has been delayed because the engineer changed designers and that an extension was filed on the USDA RBDG for the 81 Feed & Seed project. Pure Good, LLC was awarded the USDA RBDG. The director noted that Journey Nutrition has opened at 110 W. Cherokee St. with a grand opening scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 17.
The EDA also received an update from Alysia Keller on KanOkla Fiber construction timelines. OneOK announced it plans to rebuild the Medford plant; the minutes record the announcement but provide no technical details. EDA staff reiterated that housing—especially rental housing—remains a pressing local need.
The EDA approved routine financial items (July financial report $167,528.98; claims $155,072.16) and adjourned at 5:26 p.m.
