He said the general fund finished the year with a roughly $40,000 surplus and that both the utility and sewer funds ended with net incomes of about $100,000 each. Following questions from council members about line items, Councilmember Rex Christensen moved to accept the audit; the motion carried unanimously.
The acceptance requires no immediate policy action, but council members discussed specific line items during the presentation and asked staff follow-up questions. The council did not attach conditions to the acceptance; any staff follow-ups on audit details will be handled by the city manager and finance director.
