Public works staff presented bids for spot replacement of concrete at Station 81, describing areas of cracking believed to result from original thin pours and heavy vehicle loads. Staff said three bids were received for 8,000–10,000 square feet of concrete replacement with prices ranging from $45,000 to $57,000 and recommended awarding the work to Black Ridge Concrete.
Council moved and approved resolution 25-09 awarding the contract and asked staff to coordinate phasing so the fire station retains access during construction. "We will do some coordination... probably do like the front end first, so they still have access to the back," staff said. The resolution passed on roll-call vote with all present voting Yes.
