Council approved Resolution 25-14 to continue the interlocal agreement for countywide technical forensic/CSI services.
Chief Park described the CSI unit's role and history, saying the unit provides specialized DNA development and crime-scene processing that smaller agencies cannot sustain on their own. Funding, he said, is split by population and call frequency; South Ogden calls CSI approximately every three days for incidents ranging from gunshot wounds to burglaries. He reported the city's projected FY25 cost at $49,797 and recommended council approval of the interlocal.
A roll call vote approved the agreement. Staff said the submitted staff report had been emailed to council after the packet deadline; the interlocal itself was included in the packet.
