Board hears sign-variance request for Freddy's at Karnes Crossroads

Planning staff said the applicant, represented by Heidi Hochman of Persona Triangle and presentatively by a local sign-company representative, seeks three additional signs and an extra 60 square feet of signage along Caines Crossing Boulevard (frontage 1). The property owner was identified as Ava Harp LLC and the parcel is in the Karnes Crossroads planned development.
A representative from Visual Concepts (introduced by staff as Chris Idone) described the proposed letters as "a non illuminated acrylic pin mounted letter" about 15 inches tall and said any lighting shown was building-mounted, not internally illuminated. Board members began questioning details about sign wording and placement.
