Board approves sharps disposal agreement with McFarland Clinic and extends MPACT opioid grant use

The board approved a sharps disposal interagency agreement with McFarland Clinic on April 22. Assistant Marshall County Attorney Kiyoko Kieffer told the board the agreement uses opioid-funded grant money to help McFarland Clinic provide safe disposal containers for used needles to the public. The motion carried 3-0 and the chair was authorized to sign the agreement.
Separately, the board approved an addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding expanding MPACT and extending the date to use opioid grant funds for YSS until December 31, 2026. Kiyoko Kieffer said the MOU addendum grants an extension for the date of use for the opioid grant funds; the motion carried 3-0.
