Council approves COG contract to manage $6 million Safe Streets grant

Mayor Greg Habib highlighted staff contributions to winning the grant, saying Alexis Kaiser, the special projects manager, "worked very diligently" and "Alexis's work got the city a $6,000,000 grant, that is going to allow us to create the connectivity from the northern part of our city to the rest of it." The council moved, seconded and approved the agreement.
The contract was presented as a grants‑administration arrangement and the mayor described it as funded by the grant award; council approved the request on a voice vote.
