The Florence Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted on June 17 to award the Hwy. 49 Eagle Post Road Sanitary Sewer Additions Phase 3 contract to Thornton Construction Company, Inc. for $156,160. City Engineer Tim Parker had recommended awarding to Thornton as the lowest and best bidder. Alderman Brian Grantham moved the award; Alderman Trey Gunn seconded.

Alderman Mason Herrin did not participate or deliberate on the matter.
