Resident Moises tells council golf-play damaged his siding and solar panels

At Tuesday's South Ogden City Council meeting, resident Moises told the council that repeated strikes from the adjacent golf course have left his house with broken siding, windows and damaged solar panels. "My siding is completely destroyed," he said, adding that each replacement solar panel costs about $1,500 and that he has eight broken panels.
Mayor Porter responded that staff would talk to the city inspector and review code options to see whether Moises could install protective netting or otherwise protect his property. Moises said he has contacted the golf course but that no one had come to inspect or remedy the damage. The council did not take formal action at the meeting but the mayor said staff would follow up with the inspector and code department.
