The planned stops include the Garland Senior Activity Center (GSAC), the Holford Soccer Site (a site being considered for up to eight fields near Holford Road and George Bush), Bob Day Center, Central Loop Trail Segment 3, the Spring Creek wallscape location and Surf & Swim.
"We'll meet up at the Administration Building on Apollo Road, 08:30AM," staff said when discussing the tour logistics. Staff asked board members to dress comfortably for walking and said they would coordinate walk‑throughs at the pool and other active construction sites so members could observe progress. The tour is intended to let the board see construction and site conditions firsthand ahead of future recommendations and ceremonial events.
Members asked about start time flexibility and received confirmation that staff would circulate an agenda and that the group would leave at 9 a.m. if timely. Staff also noted the tour will include sites where construction is active and that members should be cautious around work zones.
