At the end of the agenda, staff informed the committee that Item 3b — a review of Chapter 32.50 of the Garland Development Code — could not be heard because of a public-notice posting error. A staff member reported legal counsel had advised the item was improperly posted and that the committee must defer review until it is re-posted correctly.
"So we have been advised by the city attorney that we cannot cover this topic today as it was improperly posted," a staff member said. The committee accepted the advice and staff said the item will be placed on the April meeting agenda after corrections to the posting and a review of the definitions to be covered.
