Board accepts $4,903.99 Wildlife Diversity Grant to buy bat monitoring equipment

Rich Naughton moved to approve the grant agreement and Pam Paone seconded. The motion carried; voting in favor were Nelson, Deimerly, Paone and Naughton. After grant acceptance Herring requested board approval to purchase the monitoring equipment for $4,519.90. Tina Nelson moved to approve the purchase, Paone seconded; the motion carried with the same four votes recorded in favor.
The approved grant and purchase will allow staff to begin wildlife monitoring work; the transcript records the amounts and the recorded votes but does not include further specification of vendor, model numbers, or deployment timeline.
