Staff updates: Blue Fox Run sale, tree work and scheduling legal training

Kyle reported that "Blue Fox Run has been sold to an individual who intends to maintain it as a golf club," and that tree work (including removal of dead and dying trees) is proceeding under her delegated approvals. She said some clusters of tree and landscaping work do not meet maintenance exemptions and will require formal IWC applications; she expects submission of those applications in March.
Kyle also noted upcoming training opportunities: the Connecticut Association of Wetland Scientists conference on March 5 (which she will not attend) and a recommended Connecticut Bar Association event; she requested dates for legal training with the town attorney and commissioners agreed to identify questions and consider holding that training in executive session for candid discussion. The commission approved the Jan. 7 minutes and adjourned; the next meeting is scheduled for March 4, 2025.
