Council advances 2026 appropriations ordinance to second reading approval

Finance staff presented the second reading of Ordinance 47-25, the City’s 2026 appropriations measure, which appropriates operating, capital, non-operating funds and transfers for the 2026 fiscal year. Matt Rubino said the only change since the prior reading was removal of funding proposed for a parking-ticket decriminalization study. The ordinance is scheduled to take effect on Jan. 1, 2026 if adopted.
No members of the public spoke during the public hearing on the ordinance. Council held brief discussion, asked clarifying questions, and then approved the ordinance on a roll-call vote with all present voting yes.
