Committee emphasizes data first approach to school safety and discipline

Jason Oates, president of the Calvert Education Association, said school‑level volumes vary widely and quantified the scale: "Each of our 4 high schools processed over 1000 referrals last year." Committee members and staff discussed privacy limits on student records and agreed to pursue aggregated and community‑sourced survey data where appropriate. Staff were tasked to identify what datasets are publicly available and what can be shared with the advisory body.
